Itinerary

Tour starts at 10:30 a.m.

Visit:

  • Train Graveyard – Explore the rusting remains of Bolivia’s first locomotives, now one of Uyuni’s most iconic photo spots.
  • Colchani Village – Visit local salt workshops and browse handicrafts made from salt, alpaca, and llama wool.
  • Uyuni Salt Flats – Journey across the endless white desert and visit:
    • Ojos de Agua Salada (Saltwater Eyes)
    • Salt Hotel Museum & Playa Blanca
    • Flags of the World
    • Dakar Monument
    • Incahuasi Island (Fish Island) – Walk among giant cacti and ancient coral formations while enjoying stunning panoramic views.

  • The tour guide always has many stops everywhere, and he explains about the sightseer places to everybody, so, everybody has the same information. / Also the tour guide participates with everybody.

Passengers can leave their luggage at our office in Uyuni before the tour and collect it when the tour finishes.

  • Apr - May (Transition Rainy season): Days 15 - 18°C / Nights around 0°C

During adverse weather conditions, we are not responsible for rain or snowfall on the route, or for attractions that may be closed due to weather-related circumstances. These situations are beyond our control.

Rainy Season (Mirror Effect) – Jan–Apr: Thin water layer creates a giant mirror—perfect for unique photos. Some areas may flood; February has the best chances of the mirror effect.

Dry Season (Desert Landscape) – May–Nov: Completely dry salt flats with iconic hexagonal patterns—ideal for 4x4 exploration and creative photos. Very cold nights; bring warm clothes and sun protection.

Transition Periods (Best of Both Worlds) – Apr, Nov & Dec: A mix of both seasons—small water mirrors or more stable weather.

La joya de mi viaje a Bolivia

El tour comenzó en el cementerio de trenes, un lugar único que refleja la historia minera de la región. Después, en Colchani, vimos el trabajo de los artesanos de la sal y compramos algunos recuerdos. Cuando llegamos al salar y vimos cómo el cielo se reflejaba sobre la superficie blanca, sentí que estaba en otro planeta. Terminar el día con un atardecer rosado y un brindis fue simplemente perfecto.

Ein Tag voller Emotionen und Schönheit

Schon am Morgen war ich begeistert, als wir die alten Züge sahen und die Geschichte des Salars erfuhren. Der Stopp in Colchani mit seinen Handwerksständen war ebenfalls spannend. Das Highlight des Tages war der Sonnenuntergang. Auf der spiegelnden Salzfläche zu stehen, ein Glas Wein in der Hand, und die Farben des Himmels zu beobachten, war ein Moment purer Magie.

Une journée hors du temps

Découvrir le cimetière de trains et le petit village de Colchani fut une belle immersion dans la culture bolivienne. Les artisans et leurs produits en sel m’ont beaucoup touchée. Mais le plus incroyable reste la traversée du désert blanc et le coucher de soleil, lorsque le ciel se reflète parfaitement sur le sol. Ce moment silencieux et magique vaut à lui seul le voyage.
