Itinerary

Tour starts at 10:30 a.m.

Visit:

  • Train Graveyard – Explore the rusting remains of Bolivia’s first locomotives, now one of Uyuni’s most iconic photo spots.
  • Colchani Village – Visit local salt workshops and browse handicrafts made from salt, alpaca, and llama wool.
  • Uyuni Salt Flats – Journey across the endless white desert and visit:
    • Ojos de Agua Salada (Saltwater Eyes)
    • Salt Hotel Museum & Playa Blanca
    • Flags of the World
    • Dakar Monument
    • Incahuasi Island (Fish Island) – Walk among giant cacti and ancient coral formations while enjoying stunning panoramic views.

Passengers can leave their luggage at our office in Uyuni before the tour and collect it when the tour finishes.

  • Apr - May (Transition Rainy season): Days 15 - 18°C / Nights around 0°C
  • Jun - Aug (Dry winter): Days 10 - 18°C / Nights -1°C to -10°C, windy afternoons.
  • Sep - Dec (Dry season): Days 15 - 18°C / Nights 0 - 5°C

Some places can become inaccessible, such as: Incahuasi Island, and a museum – hotel made of salt.

During adverse weather conditions, we are not responsible for rain or snowfall on the route, or for attractions that may be closed due to weather-related circumstances. These situations are beyond our control.

Rainy Season (Mirror Effect) – Jan–Apr: Thin water layer creates a giant mirror—perfect for unique photos. Some areas may flood; February has the best chances of the mirror effect.

Dry Season (Desert Landscape) – May–Nov: Completely dry salt flats with iconic hexagonal patterns—ideal for 4x4 exploration and creative photos. Very cold nights; bring warm clothes and sun protection.

Transition Periods (Best of Both Worlds) – Apr, Nov & Dec: A mix of both seasons—small water mirrors or more stable weather.

Ein unvergessliches Abenteuer in Uyuni

Der Tag begann mit einem spannenden Besuch des Zugfriedhofs und einem Einblick in die Salzproduktion in Colchani. Unser Guide erklärte viel über die Geschichte der Region und gab uns tolle Fototipps. Die Fahrt über die endlose weiße Fläche des Salars war überwältigend. Als die Sonne unterging und sich der Himmel auf dem nassen Salz spiegelte, fühlte es sich an, als stünden wir zwischen Himmel und Erde.

Un rêve éveillé dans le désert de sel

La journée a commencé avec la découverte du cimetière de trains, un lieu chargé d’histoire et très photogénique. Ensuite, nous avons visité Colchani pour voir les artisans travailler le sel et profiter de l’atmosphère locale. La traversée du salar fut magique : le silence, les reflets du ciel et la sensation d’infini étaient incroyables. Le coucher de soleil, avec un verre de vin à la main, a été le moment le plus émouvant de tout mon voyage.

기차 무덤에서 시작한 투어는 정말 특별했습니다. 녹슨 기차들이 남긴 풍경은 과거로 시간 여행을 떠난 듯한 기분이 들게 했어요. 이어서 간 콜차니 마을에서는 소금 가공 과정을 보고, 현지 소금 공예품도 구경할 수 있었습니다. 하얀 소금 사막을 달리며 창밖으로 보이는 풍경은 평생 잊지 못할 장면이 되었습니다. 인카우아시 섬의 거대한 선인장과 석양, 그리고 와인 한 잔으로 마무리한 하루는 제 인생 최고의 순간 중 하나였습니다.
